I was gifted a small box of Cornel Bronze dahlia tubers a couple of years ago and they have become some of my favorites. I love how Cornel Bronze looks pink next to orange things, and orange next to blue things. They are gorgeous in bouquets or just left in the garden.
Plants grow about 4 feet tall and the stems are long and strong — just what you want for a cutting garden. They are sturdy in wind and rain and in the vase.

Dahlias are an easy-to-grow long-lasting burst of color in your garden. Excellent cut flowers and long-lasting bloomers.
Though they do require some staking and support, and you will want to dig them up in the fall and store them in a cool damp (but not too damp) place for winter, they are worth the effort.
