Ameraucanas are lovely blue-egg layers and are frequently the most social and affectionate of our hatchlings. And who can resist their cute muffs and beards?

One-hundred percent of my flock comes from hatching eggs sent from Becky Pelton, the woman that created the breed. The eggs are hard to come by; one round was requested in October of 2024 and arrived in April of 2026.
I do want to make sure you know that Ameraucanas are prone to crossbeak more than other breeds. One in a hundred Ameraucana chicks is likely to develop cross-beak aka scissorbeak and will need to be fed wet food and have regular beak trims. The defect usually shows up when the chicks are between 3 and 14 days old.
