a Flower Feather Farm flock
Ermine Ameraucanas are lovely blue-egg layers and are frequently the most social and affectionate of our hatchlings. And who can resist their cute muffs and beards?
Ermine Ameraucanas are a new breed, recently recognized by the American Poultry Association (APA) and every decent Ermine Ameraucana flock-keeper is working towards meeting the Standard of Perfection (SOP) by carefully selecting chicks and grow-outs for the breeding pens. One-hundred percent of my flock comes from hatching eggs sent from Becky Pelton, the woman that created the breed. The eggs are hard to come by; the most recent round was requested in October of 2024 and are on their way at last, here in April of 2026.
